This recently renovated gem, including new Trex decking, rests at the perfect location in Surf City, offering panoramic beachfront views of the entire island; close access to the most popular restaurants and shops; yet quiet and comfortable quarters. This four bedroom/four bath escape includes an open-concept living area, ready-for-cooking kitchen with all standard kitchen tools, high speed WiFi, & Roku TVs in each bedroom.

Welcome to Surf and Sky! As soon as you catch your first glimpse of the beach, ocean, and sky from the living room or the beachfront deck, you'll understand the inspiration for our home's name. Relax and enjoy the terrific vistas from either of the spacious decks facing the ocean or walk down the stairs via your private beach access to put your toes in the sand and enjoy the waves up close. We are very proud of the fact that this home is operated and managed by the owners - us! Sean and Bekki take great pride in offering a thoughtful and curated vacation home complete with all the small touches that make you feel like you're stepping into your own home. Surf and Sky has been recently updated with all new kitchen and living areas and features industry leading tech including whole-home WiFi mesh network and Roku TV in every bedroom. We also fully replaced the decks in May of 2024 with composite decking - no splinters! Additionally, we are very proud to feature art and photography from local artists in every bedroom and the living areas! First Floor - Bedrooms The first floor boasts three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms featuring incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean. One bedroom contains 2 twin beds while the other two each feature queen beds with all new memory foam mattresses. All bedrooms come with linens, pillows and bath and hand towels included. Each bedroom has a walk-out sliding door leading to a deck running the length of the house and the private outdoor shower. The outdoor shower makes quick work of rinsing off after a walk on the beach. Follow the steps down to your private beach access and enjoy the summer breeze from North Carolina's most beautiful beach. Each bedroom on the first floor includes a TV with Roku attachment and Spectrum TV so you can enjoy on-demand entertainment as well as local cable channels. The middle bedroom also houses the Nest WiFi extender that supplies high speed WiFi to the entire floor. This hotspot has the capability to function as a smart speaker; however, this feature is always DISABLED for privacy reasons. The hotspot emits an orange glow when the microphone is disabled to allow for easy visual confirmation. We do not record or monitor any activity inside the property. The first floor also houses the laundry room and hallway storage area. Please feel free to use the laundry during your stay to refresh clothes, towels, or linens. We provide Tide laundry pods in case you didn't bring your own detergent! Second Floor - Living Area, Dining Area, Kitchen, Bunk Room The second floor comprises the living area, dining area, and full kitchen as well as the bunk room and another full bath. Prepare to have your breath taken away when you confront the wall of windows facing the ocean and the full patio outside. From the patio, take in the unbelievable panoramic views of the ocean and the gentle sweep of the beach all the way from North Topsail Beach on your left to Topsail on your right. You can see nearly the entire island from your perfect vantage. The living area includes all new furniture with a queen sleeper sofa and a Samsung Smart TV including local cable. In the built-in cabinets you will find some games and books to enhance your time at the beach. If you don't finish your book during your trip, please take it home with you! The dining area has a table that seats 4-8, depending on the configuration. There is a leaf to extend the table (leaf is stored under the bunk beds in the bunk room) if desired. Additionally, you can let the kids eat around the kitchen island with the included bar seating. Kitchen The updated kitchen is stocked with all new dishware, pots and pans and also includes most standard kitchen tools such as: - spatulas - measuring cups and spoons - knives - cutting boards - toaster - blender - can opener - wine tool - colander - mixing bowls - cocktail shaker and jigger - dishes, glasses and flatware for 10 guests - children's plates, bowls, and flatware - grill tools We also offer numerous options for coffee and tea lovers including a drip coffee maker, Kuerig, french press, and kettle with a variety of teas, as well as shelf-stable creamers and sugar. We hope you enjoy cooking for your friends and family with the spectacular Surf City sunsets as your backdrop! Bunk Room The bunk room holds a new twin-over-full bunk with all new mattresses, as well as pillows and linens. As with the other bedrooms, it includes a TV with Roku stick and Spectrum TV for local channels. Outdoor Areas The back decks of the house are BRAND NEW and face the Atlantic Ocean, offering unbeatable views of the beachfront. The top deck has durable polywood furniture and tables and is the perfect place to enjoy coffee or drinks. The lower deck includes the roomy outdoor shower for convenient clean up. PLEASE ALWAYS utilize the outdoor shower prior to entering the house after walking on the beach! Sand can quickly build up in the drains and cause blockages. Both decks lead down the stairs directly onto the beach. Feel free to use the beach chairs and umbrella stored under the stairs by the shower. IMPORTANT: Please do not walk under the house or on the sand dunes except the area leading directly to the beach. These sand dunes are critical for protecting our community and walking on them damages and erodes these important barriers. All communities on Topsail Island have ordinances prohibiting walking or being on the dunes and will issue fines of $500 per violation.
Other Details to Note
- The house is perfectly located for quick access to all the best restaurants and shops on the island. Some of our favorite stops include: o Beach Shop and Grill in Topsail Beach (our favorite food on the island) o Daddy Macs (best outdoor dining on the island) o Shaka Taco (incredible tacos with quick service, but there's frequently a wait!) o Salty Turtle Brewing Company (just across the bridge, this is a favorite watering hole for the locals) o Sunrise Bagels and Daybreak Donuts (just a few minutes from the house, these popular breakfast spots are adjacent to each other. The donuts can't be beat!) - There are two charcoal grills in the storage shed located near the parking area. You are welcome to use the grills but you MUST be careful when disposing of coals or ash. Additionally, grilling is ONLY permitted in the front parking area away from the structure. - There is one security camera on the property above the front entrance facing the parking area and street. This camera is always on for security purposes. There are no other recording devices in the property. - We are happy to accommodate up to two dogs during your stay. All canine companions must be house trained to relieve themselves outdoors and be well-behaved (we understand accidents happen of course). Please pick up after your dog and notify us right away of any accidents in the house so we can clean properly. - The windows facing the ocean have been sealed shut to prevent wind damage if they are left open. The sliding doors are totally functional however, and you can enjoy the incredible ocean breeze by opening both doors and the windows in the kitchen! - All bathrooms are stocked with paraben- and sulfate-free soaps and shampoos made by Public Goods. - For super convenient check in, you can Instacart groceries to be delivered right to the house when you arrive. Leave the basics at home and have them delivered instead for a more comfortable drive down to the beach! - All cleaning fees charged go directly to our terrific cleaning crew.

Our neighborhood is conveniently located nearby to several playgrounds, Soundside Park, numerous restaurants, shops and more. Even better, the house is situated in a quiet section away from the rowdy weekend crowds.
Guest Access
The entire property is yours to use during your stay. The parking area can accommodate up to 3 vehicles side by side. You are welcome to fit another vehicle parallel to the street if you choose, but it makes for a trickier exit. There is an owner's closet on the top floor to store supplies which is locked at all times and not available for guest use. Please do not walk under the house for any reason. Thank you!
